Market Share - Learning Business Skills While Having Fun

Presented by Nick Hindson

Market Share is all about capability development and each session will provide a platform for people to come together in an exciting, non-threatening way to learn how to build a successful business.
Participants will learn and develop some of the necessary skills required for success in business. Each workshop session is made up of a short training session followed by an activation session using the Market Share business game. These sessions are a lot of fun, competitive and highly engaging.

Nick has spent the majority of his career designing and creating new ideas and products. Be it furniture, lighting, architecture or strategy games, he enjoys working in a team and solving design problems. He has been involved in sales, marketing, design, architecture, project management, leadership and business development.
Nick developed the business board game Market Share and it was launched to market in late 2012 selling the games through The Warehouse and online. He spent 8 months selling 64 sponsorship spaces on the game board to companies large and small, including 3M, Air New Zealand, LG, AlA, Telecom, The Warehouse, Ricoh and many others. He has more recently been working on licensing the game internationally and this work continues as he seeks partners in South Africa, Singapore, Philippines and China.
Nick also runs another company Nick Hindson Design where he manages office design projects. Nick has been a judge for the Westpac Auckland Business Awards with ATEED and Chamber of Commerce in both Innovation and Strategy & Planning. Nick has enjoyed working with Young Enterprise as a mentor and a Dragon’s Den judge. He has also been involved with Startup Weekend on the planning team.
